What the fuck?\u00a0 Really?<\/p>\n

Well, I guess I’ll break it down a bit here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a minority on the internet, not just in collaborative efforts, women are going to find a relatively geek dominated area and the things that are discussed follow suit until everything begins to level out in gender.\u00a0 There are a great many things said in jest, and speaking for myself included, most of the shit I say on here is not how I generally feel, but do find humorous.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like entering the room, with a bunch of guys sitting around watching football talking about cheerleaders.<\/p>\n

Now, obviously some are going to be more sensitive then others in approach to humor.\u00a0 I can almost guarantee that most people don’t actually believe what they are saying, though will argue against it because they can comfortably from their chair with relatively no repercussions – other then some other jackass, threatening to kick their ass or the like.\u00a0 That alone, makes me laugh.<\/p>\n

One thing I keep in mind, is not everyone likes the same comedians.\u00a0 Huh?\u00a0 Just like things on the internet, some people find one funny and another not.\u00a0 Take a look at Sarah Silverman.\u00a0 She can often say just as unusual or offensive shit as any guy would about anyone, but some might not necessarily find her amusing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a personal preference!<\/p>\n

Now specifically with a social news website, which I am also a huge fan of, this site is a collaborative effort to bring the real and bizarre alike to the world through a voting process.\u00a0 Welcome to the heart of what social networking is, the best and worst of humanity in one giant collaborative effort to evolve nothing.\u00a0 I\u2019d like to use an analogy, like buying a vowel(oh no, I made a reference to a woman<\/a>!), but these sites are like giant evolving episodes of Seinfeld<\/a>.\u00a0 What\u2019s it all about?\u00a0 Nothing really.\u00a0 Will some people find it offensive?\u00a0 Sure, everyone has an opinion.\u00a0 I mean, they are like assholes \u2013 they all stink.<\/p>\n

Oh, shit.\u00a0 Flux is off the deep end again.\u00a0 Would I speak to my mother in this manner?\u00a0 Sure!\u00a0 Would she get that this is a joke? Absolutely!\u00a0 Here\u2019s a scenario:<\/p>\n

Mom: The dishwashers broken.<\/p>\n

Me: Did you slap her?<\/p>\n

Mom<action>: pumps a round(making a horrible click-click noise that makes me smile) into her \u2018air shotgun\u2019 and shoots at the sky<\/p>\n

And we both laugh.\u00a0 Now, to the heart of that, was it sexist?\u00a0 Fuck yeah it was!\u00a0 Did I help her find out what was wrong?\u00a0 You bet!\u00a0 Quite wholesome? Yes.<\/p>\n

*reminiscent sigh*<\/p>\n

Right, so.\u00a0 Point.<\/p>\n

My point in all of this is, it REALLY depends on the context of what you are looking at, but you can pretty much find supporting evidence for both sides of any fence on any topic thanks to this wonderful internet.\u00a0 Is Digg sexist?\u00a0 Go fuck yourself.\u00a0 Is that sexist?\u00a0 No, it promoting masturbation and perversion.\u00a0 Really though, inherently speaking Digg itself is not sexist.\u00a0 Are some of the people on it possibly sexist?\u00a0 Absolutely!\u00a0 Did you get offended by some of them? Apparently, yes.<\/p>\n

Holy crap, I think that struck a nerve or something, better stop before I rupture something.<\/p>\n
