{"id":34,"date":"2008-10-01T00:12:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-01T05:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.inverseflux.com\/2008\/10\/01\/ah-windows-live-writer\/"},"modified":"2008-10-01T00:12:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-01T05:12:00","slug":"ah-windows-live-writer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/inverseflux.com\/blog\/2008\/10\/ah-windows-live-writer\/","title":{"rendered":"Ah, Windows Live Writer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nothing like being able to post a blog from the remote comfort of my machine without the need to even open a web browser.\u00a0 Though, WYSIWIG&#8217;s have come a long way, it is certainly no replacement for typing something up locally.\u00a0 Windows Live Writer really isn&#8217;t something that is new, I still wanted to take a moment, if even to only remind myself, that this piece of software does have its uses when it comes to making attempts at writing blogs.\u00a0 Ah, the days of hashing together HTML files and uploading them, adding a link and slapping a site together truly are gone.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure there are other tools to be used when it comes to blogging, something open source and multi-platform, but this piece appears to do it for me.\u00a0 Just the same, I dig it.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t type much anymore, mainly due to boredom with it and lack of visitors here.\u00a0 I find that most head to an anti-social networking site and expect others to do the same if they want to keep in touch.\u00a0 People are lazy, its a fact, we build tools to make things easier.\u00a0 Tools of the newer generations, and I&#8217;m not talking about pocketbook padded frat kids, really has become the intarweb.\u00a0 It really does amaze me how much growth has occurred when it comes to this tool.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think most realize how different things are now a days, or maybe it just isn&#8217;t something that is voiced anymore.\u00a0 The most obvious irony being how I decided to just say that.<\/p>\n<p>Ah well, just the same.\u00a0 Life goes on.\u00a0 Friends become more and more distant and I get older.\u00a0 These are all the things that our folks told us when attempting to teach the classic fact of, &#8220;Don&#8217;t try to grow up to fast.&#8221;\u00a0 It is in complete and plain sight now what they were trying to say at the time.\u00a0 Paying bills, working day in and out, talks of $700 billion dollar government bailouts, etcetera etcetera.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure where I&#8217;m going with that, just speaking my mind.<\/p>\n<p>$700 billion dollars.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve heard terms such as, &#8220;Only 5% of the problem&#8221; or &#8220;Only solves 1 out of the 4 problems&#8221; in regards to the economy.\u00a0 My almost immediate reaction is, &#8220;Jesus, what the fuck would I do with $700 billion dollars?\u00a0 How can they even expect the average American or shit, even Earthian to comprehend how much money that really is?&#8221;\u00a0 Unbelievable.\u00a0 First order of business for our government, talk about how we should go about this.\u00a0 Are you kidding me?\u00a0 How would you even begin to start a discussion about that?\u00a0 All in a days work I suppose when you manage a couple hundred million people.<\/p>\n<p>Fuck.\u00a0 Count me out.\u00a0 Or rather, just sign the check over to me, I&#8217;ll figure out what to do with it.\u00a0 Hmmm, maybe a 10 step process would help.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1:<\/p>\n<p>Hire a lawyer.\u00a0 Without legal representation, there wouldn&#8217;t be much left of that $700 bil.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2:<\/p>\n<p>Call my mom and dad.\u00a0 Hey, can you blame me?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think they&#8217;ve ever been to Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3:<\/p>\n<p>Buy a jet.\u00a0 Well?\u00a0 There are going to be a lot of conversations I need to have face to face.<\/p>\n<p>Step 4:<\/p>\n<p>Buy stock in the company that made the jet.\u00a0 Sorry, might as well make sure it stays a float since I&#8217;ll be cruising around in the thing.<\/p>\n<p>Step 5:<\/p>\n<p>Begin looking into credible AIDS and Cancer research centers to invest in.\u00a0 Tired of that bullshit, we need a cure.<\/p>\n<p>Step 6:<\/p>\n<p>Call Bill Gates.\u00a0 &#8220;Let&#8217;s do lunch and talk about shoes.\u00a0 Fuck Seinfeld, he was only funny in the 90s anyway.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Step 7:<\/p>\n<p>Call Speilberg.\u00a0 &#8220;Dude, you make really fucking cool shit.\u00a0 How can I help.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Step 8:<\/p>\n<p>Buy Lithuania.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Cause its fucking small.\u00a0 Like Rhode Island, but cooler.\u00a0 Literally.<\/p>\n<p>Step 9:<\/p>\n<p>Work on raising the ocean levels to drown out the man made islands in Dubai.\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 People bought in on that shit?\u00a0 It&#8217;s in the fucking desert you re-re&#8217;s!<\/p>\n<p>Step 10:<\/p>\n<p>Buy a golden gun with golden bullets.\u00a0 It really is too much money, I&#8217;d have to kill myself.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, I think I have fully derailed any previous train of thought.\u00a0 How did I even think it would be ok to put this on the intarweb?\u00a0 &#8220;Self improvement is masturbation.
